About Yumi Baby Holland
Yumi Baby was founded by sisters Lieke and Marijke. They are both mothers of three children and reside in Friesland. Their passion is to translate their love for serene, beautiful prints into soft, exclusive baby products. All designs are unique, hand-painted, and made with passion. Their grandmother inspired them with her love for painting, especially watercolors, and her artwork often influences the collection. “Yumi” is a Japanese word meaning “beautiful,” which perfectly aligns with the sisters' style. Yumi is pronounced as Yuw-miy, sounding like “you and me,” referencing the two of us, sisters running this label, as well as you and your baby—mother and child. Yumi's aim is to be a leading socially responsible brand for parents. They focus on environmentally friendly production, using certified organic Oeko-Tex cotton. Whenever possible, we manufacture in social workshops in the Netherlands, providing opportunities for individuals who would otherwise struggle to find employment.
